Global Conflict Tracker | Council on Foreign Relations"The Global Conflict Tracker is an interactive guide containing data, resources, and information about ongoing conflicts around the world. It is maintained by the Center for Preventative Action (CPA), a program developed by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), that aims to help policymakers strategize to prevent and mitigate armed conflict, especially in places that pose a risk to the United States’ interests. The CPA publishes reports, hosts meetings, and consults with representatives from international organizations, and the Global Conflict Tracker is one of its projects intended to inform the general public about threats and global conflicts. The Tracker includes a map that displays almost thirty conflicts, each with background information and specific resources. The map can be filtered by region, types of conflict, conflict status, and impact (critical, significant, limited) on U.S. interests, and each conflict by category contains additional resources. The CPA reviews watch lists, conflict assessments, and government reports to continually evaluate and assess the status of each conflict on a monthly basis."
